The Virginia Wesleyan College Concert Series' upcoming Indian dance presentation by Padmarani Rasiah Cantu (March 31) is featured as an Editors' Pick in the February/March edition of Coastal Virginia Magazine. VWC President Scott D. Miller's monthly Virginian-Pilot opinion column was published on Feb. 28, titled ""; Wesleyan education professor Bill McConnell was featured in the Feb. 28 for his 3D printing work with students at Cedar Road Elementary School in Chesapeake; Rabbi Michael Panitz, an adjunct professor of history and religion at VWC, was featured in the Feb. 29 for a presentation he gave at the Jewish Museum and Cultural Center on the evolution of burial practices in Jewish culture. The talk was part of the museum's annual lecture series, "From Here to Eternity." Eric Mazur, Gloria and David Furman Professor of Judaic Studies and Center for the Study of Religious Freedom Fellow, will close out the series March 6 with his discussion on the plight of Jewish refugees that arrived in Norfolk in 1940.

Class Notes   
Thomas Taylor (2000) was named Regional Superintendent of the Year for Region III, which comprises school divisions spanning from Gloucester to Fredericksburg in Virginia's Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck. Taylor is the superintendent of Middlesex County Public Schools.  
Ryan Monastra (2009), a former VWC cheerleader, was named Baltimore Ravens Cheerleading Rookie of the Year. He says: "Thank you Virginia Wesleyan College cheerleading. It has been an incredible journey indeed, and I would never have had this opportunity without your support...Go Marlins!"
