Spotlight on Marlin Scholars
The Honors and Scholars Program at Virginia Wesleyan College has been rewarding stellar students by providing them with expanded opportunities for scholarship, leadership and service since 1985. The Program encourages academic excellence and ensures that students have an intellectually enriching and challenging experience.
Three VWC seniors, Sarah Antozzi, Alex McComb, and Liz Quamme have been recently featured on the Marlin Scholars Spotlights page of the VWC website. Learn about these outstanding students and their experiences in the Honors and Scholars Program and on campus. All are actively involved in campus organizations and have engaged in research, internships, or study away to make the most of their Wesleyan experience.
Mike Ginder to Lead Wesleyan's New Swimming Program
Ginder comes to Virginia Wesleyan from Bucknell University and will head men's and women's teams.

An Oct. 14 article focused on a study about the connection between body image and dolls, conducted in part by VWC's Taryn Myers, Batten Associate Professor of Psychology and Chair of the Psychology Department. The naming of Mike Ginder as VWC's first swimming Coach was mentioned in the on Oct. 21. Virginia Wesleyan alumnus John Stine was featured in on Oct. 11 as a Top 40 Under 40 honoree. Assistant Professor of Political Science Leslie Caughell was quoted in an article in the Oct. 21 issue of and syndicated publications about Victoria Woodhull, the first U.S. woman to run for president. An article about the One Love Festival at VWC ran in the Oct. 1 issue of the. College Archivist Stephen Mansfield was quoted in an Oct. 13 story about the connection between local history and the latest season of "American Horror Story" on FX.
