Virtual Visit to Campus
Virginia Wesleyan's online created on the sophisticated YouVisit platform, has recently been updated with the University's new branding, the addition of the Fine Arts Building and information about the upcoming Goode Fine and Performing Arts Center as well as beautiful new images and 360-degree panoramas of the new Greer Environmental Sciences Center and the Blocker Youth Center.
First Cohort of the Batten Honors College
President Miller has announced the Batten Fellows and Shumadine Scholars for 2017-18. This fall VWU will welcome this first cohort of the Batten Honors College to campus. Collectively, these impressive students have a grade point average of 4.03 on a 4.0 scale, an average SAT score of 1340, and an average ACT score of 29. More

Òùµ´ÉÙ¸¾ Alumni Council Names Ten New Members
Ten new members were named to the Òùµ´ÉÙ¸¾ Alumni Council on July 12. The Council was welcomed to campus for tours of the new Greer Environmental Sciences Center, a business meeting and overview of campus progress by President Scott D. Miller. Alpha Phi Alpha First Black Fraternity Chartered at VWU
The Phi Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has received its charter. Alpha Phi Alpha is the first black Greek fraternity to be chartered at Òùµ´ÉÙ¸¾. The charter became official during the 94th General Convention for Alpha Phi Alpha, which was held July 12-16, 2017. More

Founders Day 2017
Thursday, September 7
The University will celebrate its second Founders Day. Festivities will include the Founders Convocation at 11 a.m. in the Convocation Center inside the Jane P. Batten Student Center. In addition to celebrating the University's founding in 1961, Founders Day 2017 festivities will include the annual Alumni Awards and Reception, the Batten Honors College Dedication luncheon, a Ribbon Cutting and Dinner for the new Greer Environmental Sciences Center, an Ecofestival and more.
