VWU Students Deliberate "Ethical Issues in a Multicultural Society"

Five students from Òùµ´ÉÙ¸¾ will participate in the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges' (VFIC) 19th annual statewide collegiate Wells Fargo Ethics Bowl on February 11-12, 2018, on the campus of Hampden-Sydney College in Hampden Sydney, Virginia.  
The members of the Òùµ´ÉÙ¸¾ student team are Sarah Roscoe '20, Alex Powers '21, Kelsi Robins '18, Brianna Sandy '21, and Sheril Steinberg '18. The faculty coordinator for the team is Professor of Communication Kathy Merlock Jackson. More

Steven Emmanuel Receives SCHEV Outstanding Faculty Award

Steven Emmanuel, Professor of Philosophy at Òùµ´ÉÙ¸¾, has received the 2018 Outstanding Faculty Award from the State Council of Higher Education (SCHEV) for Virginia. The Outstanding Faculty Awards, sponsored by Dominion Energy, are the Commonwealth's highest honor for faculty at Virginia public and private colleges and universities, recognizing superior accomplishments in teaching, research and public service.  More

On January 25, Òùµ´ÉÙ¸¾ was recognized as one of the finest environmental stewards on the Elizabeth River, receiving the top-tier Model Level designation at the annual River Stars Recognition Luncheon, hosted by the
