Prospective students and their families visited Òùµ´ÉÙ¸¾ on Saturday, October 22 for a look at life on campus during the University's fall Marlins Day Open House.

The day began with early bird tours of Wesleyan's beautiful 300-acre campus, followed by a welcome session in the Goode Fine and Performing Arts Center with opening remarks from Vice President for Enrollment Heather Campbell '04. VWU’s Vox Vera performed for the visiting guests. A panel session for students and parents, moderated by Director of Enrollment for the Batten Honors College Brooke Novkovic, followed. Representatives from University leadership, academics, athletics, and the student body addressed topics from student life to academic support for students.

Throughout the morning, visitors explored campus, met VWU faculty and staff, and learned about academic offerings, scholarships, residence life, dining services, the financial aid process and more. For the first time, guests also were able to experience a demonstration of VWU’s newly acquired Anatomage Table, a high-tech virtual dissection tool in Blocker Hall.

An Academic & Student Resource Fair took place in the Jane P. Batten Student Center, and auditions for the VWU Fine and Performing Arts were held in the Watts Lobby of the Goode Fine and Performing Arts Center. Future Marlins and their families also had the opportunity to enjoy lunch in Boyd Dining Center and watch Marlin Men’s and Women’s Soccer compete later in the day.

The next Marlins Day Open House is scheduled for Saturday, February 18, 2023. Learn more and register at vwu.edu/marlinsdays.
