University News | October 24, 2023

Marlins Day Open House brought prospective students and their families to Òùµ´ÉÙ¸¾ on October 21 for a glimpse into campus life during the fall Marlins Day Open House.

The day began with early bird tours of VWU's beautiful 300-acre campus, followed by a welcome session in the Goode Fine and Performing Arts Center with remarks from President Scott D. Miller and Vice President for Enrollment Heather Campbell '04. An enrollment presentation and a panel session followed, featuring current VWU students who addressed topics such as campus life and academic support. Throughout the morning, visitors toured Virginia Wesleyan’s campus, met VWU faculty and staff, and learned about academic offerings, scholarships, residence life, dining services, the financial aid process and more.

“The campus visit is a critical part of the college decision and we love welcoming future Marlins to campus for Marlins Day!” said Campbell. While on our campus they get to experience a little bit of everything.  It's so great to see our future Marlins interacting with current students, professors, staff, and our campus community.”

An Academic and Student Resource Fair took place in the Greer Environmental Sciences Center, and auditions for the VWU fine and performing arts were held in Susan T. Beverly Hall. Future Marlins also had the opportunity to enjoy lunch in Boyd Dining Center and watch athletic competitions in volleyball, field hockey, and men’s and women’s soccer. It was a great day to be a Marlin!
