How did your time at Òùµ´ÉÙ¸¾ shape the person you are today?
Having the rounded liberal arts education made me appreciate facets of art, architecture, different cultures, allowed me to have an open mind and better connect with others.
What are some of your favorite memories of professors, mentors or friends at VWU?
The personal contact and caring the professors had is a warm memory. Dr. Ferguson, Ms. Pockta, Ms Teter, Frau Wansik, Lina Holbrook all were instrumental and brought out the best in me to succeed.
Share your thoughts about the “small college difference”:
Coming from a very small public HS with a graduating class of 80 students, VWU was a perfect fit. It was big enough to be diverse and interesting, yet small enough to have personal relationships with professors who were committed to bringing out the best in each student.
Share unique opportunities you had at VWU (internships, community service, study abroad, etc.):
Through the German department I was able to spend several weeks in Mayrhofen, Austria to expand and continue my German language education. Being immersed, experiencing the culture and community are experiences that are priceless and have stayed with me.
Anything else about your time at VWU you would like to share?
I believe the education and connections made at VWU (VWU), were instrumental in giving me confidence and opened my mind to the endless possibilities the world has to offer.
